Do you like the Alps? Hiking, Skiing, watching the mountain scenery? Sing-a-long the tunes of "Edelweiß" or other songs you heard in "The Sound of Music"? Do you still remember the dress Heidi wears while living with her Alm-Uncle Almöhi? Then you will like this new web store: MiaDeRoca. MiaDeRoca shows alpine lifestyle with products from the Alpine region of Austria, Germany and other alpine regions. MiaDeRoca sells products like the traditional garnet jewellery and so called Grandelschmuck – jewellery with deer-teeths, but also handmade handbags with Edelweiß and traditional religious motives, the so called Klosterarbeiten. In the Magazine-section the two founders of MiaDeRoca Regina Kainz and Florian Fischer, report on alpine live, geography, art and nature, as well as recomending books that take place in the Alps. And don't miss the recipe section with Apfelradl, Grenadiermarsch and cheese fondue. Of course user commentary is welcome. Some may call it Kitsch – so go and have a look yourself to decide:
