A "Fatschenkind" is the newborn Christ, sill wound in his napkins, a pure symbol of innocence and hope. This special "Klosterarbeit" is adorned with golden lace, wonderful filigree work with goldplated wire, pearls and stones of garnet and jade. The Child is handmade of wax, about 8 cm of size, handpainted and waering a small golden crown. In the background you see brown silk. The exceptional handicraft is framed by an exlusive wooden frame, with gold coloured adornment in the inner frame. It is covered with glass and closed to best secure it. This artwork is handmade in Austria.
