A cross is a very straight symbol, we all know cross pendants. Here we found something special, no plane jane, but a fine delicate cross pendant. It features six round faceted garnets and in the middle a small pearl. The form as such reminds of Byzantine crosses, but the form is much more delicate and adorned, finest silversmithery to this well known geometrical form. Together with the pendant we send a silver belcher chain of 45cm length and 2mm in diameter.

As all our garnet jewellery this pendant and the chain are especially patinated to obtain a rose-coloured shine. This gives the jewel a refined antiquish look and helps to emblaze the deep and warm glow of garnets.

Yet, garnets are quite common as gemstones for crosses, even the Austrian empress Sisi used to have a cross with garnets. The garnet as a gemstone reminds of the blood of Jesus.
