We love advent calendar – a calendar before Christmas that is 24 times of anticipation. The DIY set Christine contains pattern and instructions for a crochet advent calendar, 3 skeins of wool, a wooden stick (25cm long, and 8mm diameter) and 30 yummy Mozarttaler, chocolate medals from Salzburg with nougat and pistachio cream. With the 24 chocolate medals you can fill the 24 parcels of the advent calendar, and the 6 chocolate pralines that can't be filled are there to support the creative craftist while crocheting. It is easy to work the crochet calendar with the step by step instruction, package by package you will approach the number 24. All that you need are scissors, a crochet hook and basic crochet knowledge, some of our crocheters have told us it helps to have some cinnamon tea and Christmas biscuits at hand, others think Glühwein and Christmas carols are really helpful in finishing the task. The Do-It-Yourself set for the advent calendar comes as carefree package and the Christmas feeling is guaranteed while making. Once you have made your crochet calendar you can use it again every year, you only need to refill it. You can embroider the numbers on your crochet calendar or use one of our number sample. Just cut out the 24 numbers and attach them to each of the 24 packages. We did include a recommendation on how to number the packages – after all you have to evenly arrange nearly 500gramms of chocolate in the calendar, and we want to sure it all stays in balance.

You can crochet the advent calendar in different colours than the colours we suggested – choose three colours of our yarn collection and add a note to the ordering process. Maybe you would like to have your calendar in classic Christmas colours like wool white, red and darred or you prefer light blue, blue mottled and jeans blue, if you are more in to soft pastel colours for Christmas decoration then pink, sky blue and light green are you advent calendar colours. You can of course opt for an advent calendar in many different colours, just add some more colourful yarn.
The finished selfmade advent calendar can be cleaned when hand washed or using the wool programme of your washing machine.
